Dewch Ferched Seion gwelwch chwi

Daughters of Sion come behold

(Coroniad Crist a Dyweddiad yr
Eglwys ag ef. Can. iii. 4,11.)
Dewch Ferched Seion, gwelwch chwi
Y goron Aur o barch a bri,
  Mae'r Eglwys mewn llawenydd llon
  Yn osod ar ben Salomon.

Iesu ein Brenin grasol mwyn,
Derbyn y deyrnged y'm yn ddwyn;
  Derbyn dy glod haeddiannol hawl,
  Ac fel dy goron gwisg ein mawl.

Bid ein haddoliad oll tr'om byw
Fel ein dyweddi gynt â'n Duw;
  Fel yr awr fwyn pan gawsom ni
  Oddi uchod wystl o'th gariad di.

Llawenydd y ddydd hwnnw'n wir
Dymunem iddo bara'n hir;
  Na boed i'n ffydd ni mwy wanhau,
  Na'n cysur chwaith
      na'n serch leihau.

Chwanega'n cysur ni a'n gras,
I'th foli'n fwy o hyn i ma's;
  Ne's ein dyrchafer mewn gwell hoen
  I'th foli'n
      swpper fawr yr Oen.

Ac O na phassei'r misoedd trist
A dyfod dydd coroniad Crist;
  Cyflawni'r faingc
      caiff Brenin rhad,
  Yn holl ogoniant mawr ei Dad.

(The Crowning of Christ and the Betrothal
of the Church to him. Song 3:2.)
Daughters of Zion, see ye
The golden crown of honour and renown,
  The Church in cheerful joy is
  Putting on the head of Solomon.

Jesus tender, gracious King,
Receive the tribute that we are bearing;
  Receive thy acclaim of deserved right,
  And as thy crown wear our praise.

May all our worship while ever we live be
Like our betrothal formerly to our God;
  Like the dear hour when we got
  From above an earnest of thy love.

The joy of that day truly
We wish to continue long;
  My our faith nevermore weaken,
  Nor our comfort either,
      nor our affection lessen.

Increase our comfort and our grace,
To praise thee more from now on
  Until we raise in better vigour
  To praise thee in the
      great supper of the Lamb.

And O that the sad months would pass
And the day of Christ's crowning come;
To fill the throne the
    gracious King shall get,
  In all the great glory of his Father.
tr. 2024 Richard B Gillion
(The Coronation of Christ, and espousals
of the Church. Solomon's Song, iii. 2.)
Daughters of Sion, come, behold
The crown of honour and of gold
  Which the glad church, with joys unknown,
  Placed on the head of Solomon.

Jesus, Thou everlasting King,
Accept the tribute which we bring;
  Accept the well deserved renown,
  And wear our praises as Thy crown.

Let every act of worship be
Like our espousals, Lord, to Thee;
  Like the clear hour when from above
  We first received Thy pledge of love.

The gladness of that happy day,
Our hearts would wish it long to stay;
  Nor let our faith forsake its hold,
  Nor comfort sink,
      nor love grow cold.

Each following minute, as it flies,
Increase Thy praise, improve our joys,
  Till we are raised to sing Thy name
  At the great supper
      of the Lamb.

O that the months would roll away,
And bring that coronation day!
  The King of Grace shall
      fill the throne,
  With all His Father's glories on.
